In creating abstract artwork which reference the land, sea, and sky, my intuition regarding the color, texture, and shape serve as my guide. As an observer of the world around me, I bring an interpretive eye to my work, based on memories, mediations, travel, and every day experiences. My mind opens up to my interior and exterior connections in the act of painting. The process of distilling disparate shapes and finding new color combinations with fresh textures keeps the creative journey exciting and alive for me.
