NEW IN 2025

My series, Fieldscapes began as I was writing my latest artist’s statement. I realized that my latest work often resembles a field of color, texture, line and shape. As I look around on my daily walks or from my studio windows, I see the landscapes surrounding me in these blocks of values, punctuated by clusters of trees, streams, flowers, roads, hills and dales, sometimes urban shapes of buildings and vehicles and people too. When I return to the studio these sightings become the structure and basis of my paintings.
